Do you need to let the agar cool down after pouring it into the plates?
Also a genreal question, is it ok to leave the plates in the pc for 24 hours (or more) after pcing? And does this also go for brf jars? Normally I don't have the time to inoculate first thing in the morning so it's usually almost 24 hours after pcing.

Letting them set before closing them helps with condensation but is unnecessary, i typically leave pasty plates in the pc until i need the pc or the plates. I wpuldnt try it with brf jars as it seems sketchy unless you are using grain jar lids and agr

If you take them out while they're still warm/hot it's easier to get them level. I usually put them on a shelf while still melted.

I'm lazy and use no pours for spores or stage 1 transfers so I don't mind them being a bit imperfect

Just poured my first sleeve!
Well, most of a sleeve... I was a little heavy handed,
I learned a bunch of other things too Things that I really didnt consider until... ...hindsight, and all...
My biggest problem is clumsy plate handling. All thumbs! Very comedic!
Even managed to drop a few open into my lap and onto the floor.
Ill noc that shit up anyway Lol Practice xfering away from contams...
Also after much excessive bare-handed juggling, outside of SAB, it crossed my mind that maybe I should "sleeve" and "de-sleeve" in the SAB with gloves and propper sterile procedures?
Im sure thats been discussed But I somehow missed it And thought id mention it here.
...just one of the things that crossed my mind while watching my dishes roll around my floor...

If they opened when you dropped them, they're probably too contaminated to try and get a transfer from.
I unsleeve my dishes in the SAB. Easy enough to do.

This is great! Going to try this with some oyster mushrooms.
EDIT: one little thing I am confused about - the Agar Agar which I can buy is all powdered form, does this matter?

No it doesn’t. I just recently switched to the Telephone brand agar agar and I fucking love it! It’s a lot better than the stuff I was previously using.

I cut the sleeve of petries open in the SAB before I open the agar bottle. I usually do 30, which fits in my SAB snugly. I desleeve, open bottle halfway, split 10 stack into 5 stacks, open and pour bottom to top. when the agars finished, I pull the bottle out, wait 2-5 mins, re-apply alcohol gel to hands (sometimes I pour so hot my gloves get warm and dry, and cooling them down a touch helps comfort-wise) and pour the next stack.
For no Pour I just pop em in the SAB after cooking, and nocc up asap, with wedges, spore solution, or LC I'm testing.

If you read the op I mention that you can use powdered agar and I even give measurements in volume for powdered agar to help those who lack a scale. Cheers
