i never hated on powdered agar. i only said i used what was outlined in the tek.. to avoid complications, you know?
the bag of agar cost me 1.49. in stick form. half the bag has lasted 9 months. ive made more jello then a cosby kid.
i bought 10 bags not knowing how much ill need. at current pace lets say 1 bag last 1 year(half lasted 9months) for 1.49. thats like
.12cents worth a month? for 10 years.

Do you think they would sell agar at a Pakistani/European/Indian store? I don't have a Chinese or Japanese centered market. It's more middle eastern places where I'm at.
I usually order it online so I wouldn't know what places carry it.

I use 2 tablespoons of powder, 2 teaspoons potato, 1 top honey personally. It's great for my Skin, and has a lovely flavor.
As for Agar plates , I double the potato

The fuck is this tablespoons of powder business I'm hearing? I weigh out exact amounts, to the 0.05 of a gram at least. For the agar at minimum, the other ingredients don't matter as much.

The majority of cultivators have a scale for weighing harvests, unless using a produce scale like at the market or something lol measurements like tablespoons/teaspoons or a drop don't account for density of different brands of the sams product which could easily alter results

If you want to weigh it out, for this amount of agar you will want about 2.5 grams. If your using powdered agar and don't have a scale, a level tsp (5ml) is roughly 2.5 grams. Remember that no matter how much you want to mix up, you want a ratio of 20 grams of agar to 1 liter of water.

I have the Telephone brand agar thats powdered and the red brick agar which is really flaky, a tablespoon of each weighs much different. Pretty easy to pour some shit in a cup on a scale and dump it in a pot, easier than trying to level something in a spoon like five times if youre doing a 1L batch of agar

Isn't he talking about the bar agar there? Where it's all flaky and shit and volume is a little more reliable. Telephone agar powder is pretty dense and hard as fuck to eyeball.
