Is that right? I didn't see a specified volume in this tek, but what I put in mine is 25mL, which is about what normal petri dishes have, to where a 500mL mixture makes 20 of either.

I think the pasty recipe is 125ml for 8. The bottom of a miniround is quite small.
--------------------
I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

I didn't see it stated that the water used is for 8, but it does appear to be implied in the pictures. If so that's about 15mL each not counting what's steamed away or left on the surface of the pot. So yeah, mine involve a bit more agar but get a much more efficient grow-out area, and don't take more than regular petris at least.

I usually make it into 10. in my video, I state you can make 8-10 plates. In the comments I mentioned that 10 is good when you are just doing transfers because the plates have a short shelf-life. but when you are germinating spores, do 8 because they take longer and the thicker myc puck won't dry out.

I've kept pasty plates for a month or 2 and have it still be fine and usable.

Great tek I am excited to try it. One question I noticed that you have corn syrup in one of the pictures but I can't find any mention of it in the directions. Am I missing something?

They should work! They'll need the lid modification of course, but I'm sure you already knew that.

I have a bunch of those. I silicone a square of SFD over a verry small hole in the indent in the center of the lid.

1/16" hole. Plates don't need much GE and you want to keep your agar from drying out as long as posible.

Do you guys think something like this could work?
I don't know they seem very shallow for the no-pour tek.
