So what can you do if your plates hardened lopsided? I let them cool overnight but some of the ones that were stacked on top shifted when I moved the PC and now the media is uneven. Could I just blast them in the microwave for increments of a few seconds until it turns back into a liquid?

Mine used to come out uneven and I made extra racks for my small PC using cheap baking pans cutting them to size with tin snips and drilling holes in them, for larger PC's pizza pans, cheaper than ordering new ones and they work just as good.

Mr. Alien, those are nifty. I wish I could find those locally. I would've seen them. If you find a deal again, I'll still help you out.

I just went to grab another plate I made from last week from the ziplock bag and realized there is water trapped within the folds of the foil. Is there a specific way to wrap them so water doesn't get trapped or is this ok? Having water sitting in there for weeks or months can't be good...

You take the foil off before you store them.

it does not matter. the foil is not a contaminate barrier. it is not holding back molds, yeasts, and bacteria. it blocks water, h20, thats it.

How would something wrapped in foil and sterilized not be protected from contams when taken out?

Leaving foil on top doesn't hurt anyway, GE will still happen with the foil or without.

I've been taking off my foil and have quite a big hole stuff very tightly with polyfill, seems to help the excess moisture evaporate off after a few days.

Excellent. I'll take the foil off and out of ziplock bags. They are in the fridge now. I put them at room temp uncovered. Btw, the condensation never went away.
Thanks guys.

4 days after doing tiger drop2.0 into multiple jars, already have growth on the rye all over my jars. Yea I see why agar is such a big hit with everyone, wish I had known it all earlier!

Lol, I gotta look into what LI even is man. I gotta just chill now though, I am using only 1 mini mono with 2-3 jars of spawn at a time and now have like 12 jars colonizing rapidly. Trust me I wish I had the ability to throw a bunch of tubs somewhere but I can't right now. I have a feeling some jars are gonna be fruiting invitro HEAVILY before they make it to the one tub I am using. I might give some to my brother to fruit maybe.
