the added sugar and potato flakes makes the agar mixture quite nutritious. spores will grow directly from this agar.

Ahhh makes sense, Thankyou!
Quick question, Something has got me confused, You use this TEK and pour it in the glad cups, Then you put the spore etc on that TEK substance in the dish right, And it grows?
Reason i'm asking this is because i see a few dish's without any TEK recipe substance underneath and just mycelium in the dish, How does it grow? Or is this because the mycelium has been transferred to a new dish and it does not need the TEK to grow/be transferd?
Pasty uses food colouring in his mix and the potato flakes make it more opaque. This makes it easy to see.
If you are using something like lab grade premixed Potato Dextrose Agar or Malt Extract Agar with no food colouring, it could appear that there was nothing in the petri dish.
Food colouring is quite nice for visibility and I recommend it, esp for a new eye.

Quick question to anyone willing to answer, OP Recommends Glad Mini rounds, Problem is there not sold in my country, I can only import them from USA, Costing $40 For shipping alone plus the price of product.
Does anyone know any other alternatives? OP also mentions make sure it's PP5 if i find a similar looking product to this containing PP5 Plastic will i be fine to use them?
EDIT : These are available where i am

Anygood very similar but different shape by the looks of it 36 of them for $20, Not to bad

As long as it's polypropylene (pp5, recycling code 5,) it should be fine. Most containers that look like what you posted are. $20 for 36 is kinda spendy, but that may be the economy you live in. Dollar store or dollar store equivalents are good places to look, aka cheap chinese plastic shit stores.
Other factors to consider are size. 8oz or less is ideal for space. The wider the bottom is, the better (more agar surface area per volume.) Not only does it allow for more growth and inoculation power on a single plate, it allows you to be neglegent for a longer period of time and still have a fresh leading edge to transfer from.

I bet you when you go to a big grocer where you live, you'll find some sort of container with a recycling code number 5...
Just look under the plastic containers and you'll see what kind of plastic they're made of.
You're looking for number 5 inside arrows arranged in triangle... or sometimes its simply labeled as 'PP'.

yup. I've gotten both of those containers before.
if you are going for agar, I'd suggest the twist top ones. the snap open ones tend to require a bit more force than you would feel comfortable using on a sterile culture. however, the twist tops are a bit narrower.

I want something small simply for storage purposes. And that in the second link seems perfect. The plastic of the second link is hard? I would like to do the tiger drop thing with those but if the plastic is hard, can't do it.
Edit: O shit' can't do it anyway, the mouth is smaller than the container. That's bad.

Those second ones with the clear lids are the ones I was looking at.b there a bit small. They would be good for cloning, germination and quick transfers though.

Hey guys. I tried my first attempt at agar last night. I made 15 rounds last night using Malt extract. I brought the heat up super slow using med-low heat. Took forever to get to 15psi but once it did, I cooked for 45 min and let cool for 24hrs. I just opened the PC to take out the rounds and peaked under the foil. There is major condensation. I left the foil on all of them, put them is ziplock bags, and put into the refridge. Is the condensation going to be an issue?

condensation isn't an issue, really. it will clear up eventually. it doesn't harbor contaminates or anything like it.
I personally think heating it slow and letting it cool down for 24 hours is useless. the only reason I've ever seen to do this is to battle condensation - which as you can see doesn't really work. I heat my PC on high till it gets to temp, then reduce it. After my timer finishes (I only PC for 30 minutes), I let the pressure return to 0, then open it up and let the plates cool off on my counter top.
I'd say I could probably prep and PC a batch of agar and use it within 2 hours or so. Never had any issues, but plenty of success.

I pay the condensation no mind, but the fridge always seems to make it worse IME. The only time I put them in the fridge is to slow them down or store cultures, heard putting them in a small cooler in the fridge helps prevent excess condensation. Also heard you can stack with a cup of hot water sitting on top and it goes away, never cared to try. I store un used plates in a small tote for weeks at a time at room temp before I ever use them and it eventually goes away.
