For cooling them in a SAB? it's not required at all. It all works the same, some people are just overly cautious

I suspect they're too close to the water or you're not raising your trivet? I layer them as follows: trivet on bottom, 4 wide-mouth half-pint jars in triangle/square formation on top of trivet (symmetry is important, not the shape obviously), extra trivet on top of jars, then begin stacking up the plates. You can lay them on top of each other without them slanting or buckling. It's very sturdy. For reference, I have an AA921.
You can also remove them when they're warm and lay them flat as Achillita said.

yeaaa I dont have a trivet, should probably get one but the jar idea might work too with a big dish on top of quart jars or something.

Well, If you jam the PC with enough numbers of plates, so that everything fits nicely and perfectly, they won't topple or whatever...
My old school AA 21 1/2 quarts PC fits 8 polypropylene plates, 3 layers, for a total of 24 plates per PC run.

I was tempted to do all 24 I had but I am glad I didn't. It's a pain in the ass doing 12 in the SAB I made, I need bigger arm holes. Learning experience though and I have a few that I think will be fine. Turn those few into more and get a whole grow out of like 2 cc's of spores

You don't have to put them all in the SAB at once, you know? I store mine in the fridge for a bit before using.

I have several tote boxes devoted for holding jars and plates after PCing...
I don't trust shelves. And I live in a not so tidy house,
How I wish I have a separate workplace for all this shit. Life would be Sooooooo much better... and I'd procrastinate less methinks... xD

If you prep the agar and pour the plates, do you have to PC them all the same day? Or would it be okay to store some overnight and PC them the next day?
My tiny pressure cooker only holds a few containers at a time. I'd like to do all the mixing and pouring once; pressure cook some once they cool down, and do the remaining ones the next day. Maybe I could put them in the fridge overnight?
Sorry if this question has already been answered, but when I searched I couldn't seem to find a definitive answer.

when you first start, you wait on the shrooms.
however, before too long, it'll be the shrooms waiting on you.
