I'm very intrigued about the science behind it, and the practices and procedures. I might be trying to go to fast to see some results, and I kinda knew in the back of my head this wasnt stored properly. I tried another method to obtain spores. I should jump on that tonight while i'm doing some shopping on ebay. lol however, I wont be looking for spores on ebay.

Your first plate from spores may not show any sectoring at all. Just take from the outer edges and transfer to another plate and take samples of the most agressive sectors from that plate and transfer them. From there you could inoculate grain or try to further isolate.

How old is that plate abductee? The age can give you a good idea if it's mycelium or not. A fully colonized plate like that should take at least 8 - 10 days from spores. If it's faster than that it would definitely be suspect.

7 days.., I think i'll get a better look tomorrow in the sab at the other plates, its possible there could be some mycelium growing, i'll go over some more pics of mycelium on agar and get a better idea of what im looking for.. Sometimes I'll see a pic and it looks good and then I read a comment saying its mold or web.. I'll just have to learn the points to properly identify the right growth during first plates from ms.

Serious question guys...
I forgot to add honey to the mix and already filled up my 8 mini tupperwares. Should I re-do everything and add honey this time or will I be fine?

I would, only place of the 3 i ordered from that doesn't need lots of agar work. Actually out of the 6 that I got from works none showed bacteria

They were the first place I tried placing an order with but when I went to check out the price was in U.s dollars instead of Canadian as was advertised..... I'll try again this evening. I found some glass petri dishes on ebay 21 bucks canadian for five, free shipping.

I ordered them too, I still use the plastic ones over them. The lids dont fit well, great for prints but I like a tight fitting lid and they had about 10 to 12 mm play

I have been reading bits and pieces of this thread all day and I'm going to rock some agar tonight. I've got a few prints laying around as well as some dried mic from a completely sealed agar dish from two years ago that I want to resurrect.
I probably should have just went with the glad mini containers in the OP, but I saw that Ball has 4oz spice shaker jars available to opted for those. Sucks that I had to buy more lids though because I don't think the shaker lids would work well with my intended purpose.
Thanks for the tek as I haven't done any agar in over 2 years and this seems easy enough.

Yeah, I noticed in the picture there was a decent size gap between the halves when the lid is on.
