I was wondering which kind of trichocereus people prefer? I bought some peruvianus seeds from eBay awhile back, I have several growing but they aren't big enough to try. Reading around I'm thinking I should start some bridgesii.

Bridgesii because of potency and consistency however I have had other worldly euphoria and the best body high of my life from san pedro.

I think that the real key here is quality genetics. Bridgesii is a winner nearly every time, yet it tends to be a bit on the wild side, where as Pedros and torches tend to be on. the mild side. This is not a reference to depth or visual level either.
I love the Bridgesii's, but this year I have had the chance to indulge in potent Pachanoi's and Peruvianus which were right on par with my strong Bridgesii trips.

That's interesting. So where would one look to obtain quality genetics?

If you'd like to start from seed, Sacred Succulents has been providing quality genetics, with great germination rates for years. You have to do it snail mail, but they have a huge selection. I think you can even order cuttings, but be careful as its getting cold in the states.

I'd say that good pachanoi is the best I've had. That said, good pachanoi is rare here in the states. The most reliably good is bridgesii

In my limited experience, Bridgesii are a bit harder to grow But could just be me and my methods for growing
