A TV will make you less sane. I don't have one either, I threw mine away about 3 years ago. It takes a year or a little longer to wake up from the TV induced coma. But if I do want to watch something special or a movie I simply download it and watch it on the computer. I'm actually a much happier person without a TV. You should turn off the radio too, if you have one. If you tune out for a year or two when you tune back in you realize that you've been talked to like a kindergardner and how manipulated you were. Radio will seem like mindless chatter that you won't want to listen to. In short tuning out takes you off the propaganda control grid and you learn how to form your own opinons and thoughts. People who watch TV and listen to raddio do nothing but parrot back what they hear and believe the rediculous lies and propaganda they are exposed to. Better to rid yourself of that rubbish for good.
What if I have gone through a similar no TV no radio phase and now I am bored as fuck and wish to watch TV knowing and identifying parts that it is propaganda for laughs? Also I'm looking to put on some dumbass shows and just be on my computer with the TV on looking for interesting parts rather than spend time watching.

Wow, people still use TVs? I've given up on that, the internet has everything if not more than what TV has to offer, and it's expensive for students.
There's generation after generation are going to be watching less and less TV.
Anyway, I obviously don't own a TV. I do have a projector though, that I can handily plug into any device with a monitor. Works great and it's cheaper.

There's no getting out of this one bro. The commercials will program useless noise into your mind at a subconscious level. You'll hate yourself later for having to meditate yourself back to reality. Or you may never know, finally laying on your deathbed wondering why you never put more effort into living life to the fullest. Your choice son.

I have a TV, but I only watch about 6 hours of it per week. 3 hours for the Vikings, 1 hour for the Walking dead, and maybe a couple hours of Basketball.
I play a shit ton of BF4 though, and stream stuff from my laptop.

I always find the phrase, "no TV" a strange one. It must be the generational gap between only Cable, Satellite, or Antenna based TV, to a mix of downloading shows over the internet, and then the ability to stream them.
I guess the discussion always makes me laugh when people say, "I don't watch TV." Really, so you haven't watched Breaking Bad? "Oh no, I love that show, I downloaded/streamed it online."
So it seems to really come down to what you watch and if and when you watch it does it include commercials.
Of course, there are those that just don't, but I find them weird.
If you have a laptop, or desktop and you watch shows online, you are watching TV.

You can do that and you will realize everything!!!
Too much and you will be sucked back into the control grid.
Try it and you'll see. Watch a few shows or news programs. Now that you haven't been exposed to it you will instantly realize how its intended to distract and control you rather than to inform or entertain. You'll see seemingly intelligent people you know acting like a parrot and repeating almost word for word as if its their own thoughts what you saw on the box the day before or hours before and you will know they are nothing but propagandized zombies.
I'd advise caution though because if you expose yourself to much of the TV you yourself will get sucked back in and lose yourself in it like 99% or the other people have.

I have a TV, but we don't have cable or anything. I just use it for Netflix and video games. We have the internet and that's it. I've been using Netflix for free for several months as well.
I don't miss television, never watched it much to begin with. Just mindless shit that wastes your fucking time.

TVs are a must. Cable is a must not. You must have a TV to watch amazing movies in HD on a life sized screen. It's just awesome. Cable sucks with the exception of a good documentary or the occasional comedy. If things weren't so expensive then we could just visit those places and events but its not cheap. Still I'd have a big TV just for movie nights with a cute girl or something.
