Yes. Just the unmatched view of space alone would be worth it.

don't you think on a distant alien planet, alone, with a clear view of the universe, it would be a bit mindblowing in its own right?
or are you that ruined by acid and bud.

I voted no but if there are actually Martians who have cool habitable domes and cities then mebbe.

Otherwise it sounds worse than a prison sentence. I like to be alone sometimes, but that is taking it way too far!

realistically speaking, nah space is so lonely and depressing. we weren't meant to step foot on other planets, at least not literally. itsaul about astro travel bitches. mayans did it, egyptians did it, we fucking shot ourselves to it with explosives. ancients are probably facepalming hardcore right now

There's a pretty big difference: astral projection has always been about people pretending to travel the universe
NASA has actually put people in space and on the moon. They didn't just sit around in Houston, cut the lights, light a scented candle, sit cross-legged for six hours a play make believe.
Nor did they take a big dose of DMT and drool all over their sofas and then think they were traveling the space ways. Instead, NASA built real machines that put people in space, and giant telescopes that allow us to look at the edge of the observable universe. Not hippy fairyland pretending to do it. Not building pyramids to supposedly guide dead people to space or whatever kind of goofy mythology the ancients dreamed up.
The ancients made incredible advancements and achievements. But nobody went into space until the 20th C. They wouldn't be facepalming they would be saying holy fucking shit. Voyager 1&2, the Apollo Missions, Hubble ect. That would blow their fucking minds. Be real.

That's a bold statement and probably contradicted by evidence from remote viewing projects and such. Both CIA and KGB have run extensive remote viewing programs which are now publicly known to have gathered very accurate intel on underground facilities even satilites and such couldn't penetrate. Remote viewers located a downed Russian plane before any other sourse, etc. There's compelling evedience that its real if you don't just dismiss it because it doesn't fit your preconceived notions.

The CIA and the KGB wasted millions of dollars exploring whack-o pseudoscience? Astonishing!

The first manned mission won't feature a return shuttle. Regardless, I'd be all for it.

If I had means to start greenhouse gassing it to an earth-like enviroment (which would take far too long) sure why not.
Otherwise if there's no potential of growth it's not really worthwhile.

If someday there were reliable, affordable commercial flights to Mars I would consider going for sure. I have zero interest in being the first to do something risky like that.

Ah. Please produce the evidence for this. You see, it's so well known that the only thing I know about it is that those programs were all aborted due to them yielding fuck all.

you really are the fake sunra lol. Astral projection might take place in the same space as imagination (sometimes, kinda), that doesn't mean it's pretend. it's a powerful experience, way more than you could just think up on the spot.
and yeah i'm sure they'd be impressed by going to space but they really were quite good at astronomy (mayans and egyptians i mean) and no doubt they were mystically learning shit about the exterior universe.
