Minimal Time to Wait for Cooling PF Jars
    #19206519 - 11/29/13 09:16 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

So I just finished steaming some PF jars 2 hours ago. I was wondering what the ABSOLUTE MINIMAL TIME needed to cool them is?

I have to be leave my house tonight at 11pm to party it up. So, I finished steaming at 6pm, and at 11pm would be 5 hours. Is that enough time to reach safe temps?

I sure hope so.

Any experience with crunch-time PF jars?

I always try to wait till the next day to be on the safe side. Iv knocked up jars after 6hrs but only half made it. Remember just because it feels cool on the outside the middle is much hotter. Patients is key in this hobby bro.

Good news! I believe I have found the minimal time! Yes!

Well, I heated the jars then let them cool for 5.5 hours in a cool closet. Well, its been 2 weeks, and all the jars have exploded with growth! It really worked. I was worried, cause there was very little growth before these 2 weeks.

Maybe the delay in growth was from the warm temps of the substrate from the 5.5 hours of cooling. Not sure.

So, to be safe I would put the minimal time at 6 hours just to be safe, but 5.5 hours as the absolute minimal cooling time for injection in my experience.

Noted for future reference
