Hello, I am looking for some assistance in narrowing down what kind of mushrooms these might be. They were growing in southeast BC, in a pretty open forest of Ponderosa Pine and larch trees. They were growing in a cluster around an old tree stump. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Kuehneromyces species perhaps. Did you get any photos of the stem?

Welcome fellow Southern BC'er!
Perhaps Hyphlomas? Were the spores dark?

Hello all and thanks for all the replies! I apologize, but I do not have any other information on stem or spores. Despite the lack of this pretty fundamental info, I thought I'd see if it could be narrowed down a bit just from the video. Although hoping, I didn't expect any easy answers. : ) In the meantime, I asked someone locally and they had the following to say:
"if I knew whether they were growing or soil or in the duff or on wood, and if I knew whether they were growing in association with conifers or deciduous trees and even if I had a spore print I still would not know what they are. Best I can say is they have a cespitose growth pattern, seem to have an adnate gill attachment, have closely spaced gills and probably a light brown spore color. Might belong to the immense Cortinarius genus."
So, I'm left with three potential genuses. : ) I guess that is my narrowing down of possibilities! Have a great weekend all...
