I'm interested in growing bioluminescent mushrooms as a hobby. They just look cool. Which ones are good/easy to grow? Are any edible or active? Thank you for your expertise.

I've heard that they are grown for a novelty grow but not active. I tried and failed on my grow. I think that I have a Master Slant though.

Most species fruits are small, and the bigger ones that I am aware of are indeed toxic. There may be edible species but the fruits are so small that they may not be worth the hassle. However I have seen the forest filled with Panellus stipticus in large numbers but collecting them and cooking them would likely stop the glowing reaction. So by the time it was prepared the mushroom would no longer be glowing, at least that's my idea.

I just remembered the mycelium of the honey mushroom is said to be bioluminescent.
