Did he really find these in the woods?!  That would be very unusual.  That being said, they do look  like cyans.

so they all look good? ( i know you cant be 100% without seeing them in person ) The other my friend was wondering is if he once ate 10.7 dried libs and wasn't quite as f****d as he expected ( dont get me wrong he was still pleastly f****d ) Then how may of these would do the same? 3 or 4 mushrooms? more? should he go by weight?

yeah the uk, pretty sure he said he had gone looking to find the elusive cyan, got a few hints from google then went on his merry way (by which i mean he researched alot before hand like he did lib caps all those years ago) he wanted to find good ol' natural ones before giving in to wood chip patchs

I don't see as much bruising on the cap margin as I'm use to, but those sure look right otherwise and there IS some bruising apparent on the caps. They look like the few cyans I found in grass habitats this year.

As mentioned... Blue bruising, purple spore print = good to go for psilocybe species.

Please have your friend take some habitat shots for us here. Cyans only get as close to the woods as park entrances here in the US. Very interesting.

pines are a sub species of conifer...... not quest the same but i see your point, and seriously? no else finds these in woods / forest? i no at least 3 in my local area where a 'fungus group' has done all the work for me by finding them then reporting said finds on the bloody internet!!!

Thanks to every one that replied and please, if you do notice any that don't look like cyan please say, or i fear my friend mat consume these over the weekend then it will be to late!!

No one I know.  Wood chips and sometimes dune grass.  Not saying it couldn't happen... but I think its more likely your friend just told you the forest because saying "at the local mall parking lot" would have given his patch up.

They all look good from what I can see, but if he is worried make sure they all show some sign of blue bruising to be extra safe.
