Ask them if there is any active mushrooms growing around the property first to "melt the ice"
Seriously, I'd get some of the fresher stuff and "field age" it yourself on a tarp laying out in the sun for a day or two.

I think you want field aged. I think the stuff from the stables may have things like cedar chips in it.
I use CVG. I'm not sure manure is worth the effort. But, I live in an apartment.

I don't have any experience with cow manure, but with horse manure I only pick up as much of it as I can from a nearby guy who has a horse and allows me to. I don't pay any attention if it's field aged or anything, because I follow this TEK, so I age it all at home anyways. That's the best way I've found to do it, so just go ahead and pick as much as you want; you'll take care of it at home.

Pick manure from the field, old, hard nuggets.
RR shows them in his video. I am out for the time being or I would show you pics myself
Do not pick from the stables or the piles.

cedar woodchips are anti-fungal, you want the stuff that is old so it doesn't smell and isn't full of bacteria, you want the stuff that will crumble like hard clumps of dry soil.

My horse farmer picks up the stuff in the pastures and puts it in its own special pile because he knows I'm coming back and that's what I've requested. He scoops it up with the front end loader and dumps it in the truck.
Sometimes I need some for my garden and to be fair to him, I take that as well. He's never asked why I want it separated and I never offered to tell him.
It works out for the both of us. Symbiosis is the name of the game in mushroom farming.

You don't want the pile manure. It is full of urine and various anti-fungal things like cedar, because it is shoveled from the barn.
Ask to pick from the pasture or don't waste your time
