What would be an ideal pressure cooker on amazon/ebay?
I aim to sterilize with steam and see through the top

Mirro 22qt or Presto 23qt.....
Presto would be the slightly more expensive one of the 2.

You're not going to find a clear pressure cooker. You don't need to see inside anyway.
Check Craigslist sometimes there's deals to be had.

It would be nice to be able to look inside to see how much water is left.
I have a 23qt presto and I'm quite happy with it.

no it wouldn't just use enough water for how long you'll be using the PC for. Not like you can add more water back into it while its on, so make sure you have enough for the whole cycle.

It's not, but it is the best pressure cooker out there. I used to really like my presto too until it crapped out on me after 4 years. You get what you pay for I guess.

I ordered my presto 23qt pressure cooker off amazon for like 70 bucks with shipping and everything. I fit 24 of the half pint jars in. Glad i went with the bigger one so i could PC my jars all in one shot. I would suggest spending the extra money and getting a bigger one. It will be worth it in the long run!
