Best Man Speech

Critique me like only the internet can.
Thank you to everyone who has made it out here today. I'd like to especially thank Jade, and Phil, Joanne and Steve. The extraordinary people who made this day possible with their love and compassion for everyone around them. Thank you so much for everything you have done for our new family. I couldn't be more happy that our families are now one. Being able to celebrate this momentous occasion with my only brother brings tears to my eyes (when no one is looking). Kevin is my big brother. And big brothers have big responsibilities to little brothers. Kevin has been more than a brother to me. He was my guardian angel when growing up. We all know that growing up isn't easy. It might even be getting harder. But when you've got a man who will risk his own, for you, then you have nothing to worry about. When Kevin thought me and my friends might be a little too young to sneak out of the house and cause havoc around the neighborhood, he would come with us to make sure we were ok. When we would get caught for sneaking out and causing havoc, he would defend us, saying, "its ok i was there making sure it wasn't too bad". When i would throw house parties and get too drunk to keep control, Kevin would be there watching over me and the house. He was always watching over me. Kevin i can't thank you enough for your participation in my life. The way that kevin talks about his flawless wife, Maryanne, puts my mind at ease. Now i know that Kevin has his own guardian angel. Here's to a lifetime of happiness and love for Kevin and Maryanne.

I would lose the drinking in the house reference and focus on some action he took that exemplifies the character he exhibits today and his discriminating taste in life partners. yada, yada, and yada!

Pretty good speech k00l. The only thing I might take into consideration is what mpd said, but it really depends on who you are giving the speech to.
Have a good time at the wedding!

i would keep it simple..
i would have the bride put her hands out palms up and have the groom put his hands on top of hers palms down.. and say congratulations (enter grooms name here) this will be the last time you have the upper hand..

Yeah if you're gonna have a thing about underage drinking and partying, I'd try and make it a bit funnier or just leave it out entirely. I understand what you're trying to get across, but it's a bit redundant and just sounds kinda weird without any humor or anything.

I lol'd and smiled. Sounds like a good one man. Rehearse it, don't use notes so it looks off the cuff and awesome.
Enjoy and all the best to your bro and his future wife

dude im sorry but this makes Kevin sound like a spineless man who is enabling kids to get drunk and make bad choices.
if I was him and you said this to a bunch of people I'd be pretty embarrassed
