Life has lost it's 'newness'
    #19203440 - 11/29/13 02:34 AM (10 years, 2 months ago)

Nothing seems to amaze me anymore. Everything is boring, from physical aspects, mental aspects, even spiritual aspects.. I never have anything to do and no money/car to go anywhere/do anything.

What do you guys do for fun?

Most of the time I spent tripping because it's the most fun thing I can look forward too.

You are stagnating... i know that feeling man
You gotta get out there and try something different.
Read some books, try a new sport, hang around different people!
You need a new perspective. I know it can be hard to meet new people, but it would help. You don't need to ditch your current friends but definitely get out there,

New people will introduce you to new perspectives and new experiences you may not encounter on your own.

You know this? I think we humans were supposed to life in nature... hunting our food or tending our farms... not taking anymore than we need, and I promise you... this would keep you occupied...

But, as we live in the society we live in.. I would recommend everything from poetry to painting to sculpturing or artistry of the musical genre...

rigorous and varied exercise helps me loads with that kind of feeling. that's why i do it everyday.

but if you don't have money or a car and you see those as things you need to help you get around to do things, sounds like you need a job. a REAL job will keep you on your toes with something new everyday. don't take some factory job or something with a narrow repetitive task that will only drive you insane.

Find a nice :boobs: to trip with. Game changer right there.

Take your Omega 3, exercise a few times a week, plenty of shit to do.

If this statement is true I would wager that it holds alot of blame for the problems you're expressing.

Don't you know that disillusionment is a common after-effect of tripping.  It only makes sense that the "real world" would lose its luster if you're constantly trying to see things through psychedelic eyes.

That is not true... I think.

try practizing a shamanic meditation... will more or less be a tripp without psycadellica... ingested atleast...  though this one is capable of controlling oneself, ie.. one will not get caught in too many loops without consent, or ignorance..

It is quite different than psycadellica, but it is capable of giving the same results if one is open to them.. mindfucks... big revelations.. pain and torture... fear to the limit.. hallusinations of one likes that sort of stuff... ( just remember to drift away as usual, but do not close your eyes :P )

Meditation is a winner indeed.. just knlw to have a purpose... it will decide everything.. from meditation to tripping to" real life"....

Tripping "most of the time" isn't going to cause some problems appreciating day to day life?  I thought that was pretty well accepted even at the Shroomery.  I know I'm probably on the sensitive side when it comes to emotions and psychedelics, but perhaps OP is too.

If you can't appreciate your life while straight, taking psychs all the time is only a short term remedy, and one that could easily backfire.  Can't believe nobody else said that

It's not like I want to do it. I just haven't gotten a job (I applied at over 50 places), and have no money to do anything. If I'm bored I usually meditate or dose up on shrooms. more of a common thing to solve bordem if nothing else does

I should warn you that people who put out massive numbers of applications in the hopes that one will come through usually end up unhappy at the job they get.

The process of getting a job is more than that:
1. Decided what you want to do/can tolerate
2. Seek out employers in your area that meet these criteria
3. Research these companies - attempt to make connections with employees and show interest and enthusiasm for the work even if it isn't the boss because a current employees referral is huge
4. Inquire about open positions
5. Ask for an app or to turn in a resume even if the position you want isn't open
6. Follow up until they tell you to fuck off

That is how it is done and unless you are talking about 6 months or more of dedicated work you shouldn't have been able to apply 50 places, especially if you're tripping very often.

My 2c at least.  Not as easy as it sounds by any means but if you actually care about making money you gotta get serious sooner or later.

Oh if it's job related, do freelance in the meantime. Not all cash comes from 9 to 5 jobs.

And definitely try to find someone to be with, tripping alone over and over is very alienating.

One of my friends just turned me on to this book because I love The Beatles so much and it has a whole chapter about them in it: The Present

This book has had a profound effect on my quality of life.  I live with chronic pain, so depression is always so close to me, ready to pull me in if I lose perspective on the good things about my life.  What I have read so far in "The Present" really helps me keep things in perspective and get more out of life in every moment, with or without drugs.  Check it out.  :captain:

I understand where you're going with this, and I may have exaggerated the amount of times I trip in a given month.. but I am very desperate, I even tried applying at McDonalds and shit. I speak with the manager and show how interested I am (even minimum wage). I call back several times and I get responses such as "We never received your application" even though I know that it's bullshit as I turned in the application to the manager myself in person.

It's really frustrating, I want to start my own business and get that going but with absolutely no revenue it's very difficult.

If I be patient maybe something will come along.
