I'm pretty sure I have an Iodine Deficiency

I'm posting this just to basically talk it out with myself, or anyone else that wants to give some advice or share experiences, and for motivation.
I've been a member on here for a few years, always checking in, reading everyone else's posts and posting every now and then. I went down a bad path this last 2 years. Addiction got a hold of me. I've seen my doctor multiple times throughout the past couple of months regarding a list of symptoms I've been experiencing, including anxiety. I had an ultrasound done last week and the results showed that showed I have Fatty liver.
All of this in combination with my addiction problem, which I'm sure caused a build up of bromide in my system. I did some research and found that Bromide inhibits iodine receptors. I looked up the symptoms of low Iodine and I have a lot of them. Now I'm focused on eating clean, providing my body with the right nutrients and such to reverse the fatty liver and get myself healthy again. The low Iodine didn't show up on a blood test I had done, but all the symptoms make sense in relation to the poison I was putting into my body.
So now I'm focused on the things that I excel at, and incorporating a healthy life style along with yoga, exercise, and everything else.
Other than family, I feel this is the only place that I can talk about this stuff, so it helps.

Meditate. It helps regulate vitamin/mineral deficiencies.

I have fatty liver, along with cirrhosis, and hepititis C. Fatty liver is generally either from too much alcohol or too much fat coupled with a genetic disposition to it.
Best you can do? Avoid alcohol, fat animal meats, and eat veggies and carbs. What really helpe me was supplementing B vitamins--especially vitamin b-6 and b-12.
I'm getting treatment in january to try to stop the Hep C before it finishes off my liver.

Damn, Starfire. Hope you can beat the Hep C. Does Cirrhosis heal eventually heal if you lay off the booze? I know the liver can oftentimes regenerate itself.

From what I understand Cirrhosis is the last stage in liver disease due to the scaring of liver cells that cannot regenerate themselves. It happens in progression, so when it's caught early it can be reversed. Fatty liver comes first, then eventually Cirrhosis.
Hang in there, starfire
