Interesting mushroom help me ID the genus

Habitat:
Oregon coast, growing from upturned roots on fallen tree. roots / soil/ mosses. bordering a forest train in full sunlight.







Gills:
beige / light tan colored.

Cap:
Appears viscid when fresh. Hygrophanous. Thin layer on top of cap can be peeled. maybe a seperatable pellicle?


Spore print color:
Printing now but will not be done for probably atleast 24 hours. Im open to discussion until they are done and i will update.

If it is an Entoloma than spore print would be pink right?

I think your probably right. They do somewhat resemble Entoloma. Ill look into the genus more and see if i can find a fitting species.

Correct, Entoloma has pink spores which look pretty cool under the scope, with lots of angles.


Microscopes are super useful for figuring out which genus an unknown collection belongs to.
