I don't mean to make you paranoid about the quick lube but I think it is silly that people think it is impossible to cause problems in unrealted systems. Its unlikely, but far from impossible depending on the service and technician.
On the plus side if the lube tech is competent and trustworthy they will usually give free simple diagnosis for things like that even if it isn't their fault.
I think it is NTB that does free battery checks as well as free installation if you buy there. Much suerte!

Yeah, if anybody could fuck up an electrical system by doing an oil change, it'd be the quick lube guys
If the VM is reading low when the car is running, it is probably something in the charging system.
OP, do you know how to work a multimeter?

da fuck dose a oil change have to do with his batter/alternator? no it has nothing to do with your oil change.
You underestimate the complete incompetence of some people working at quick lubes.
My friend took his car to one once, they changed the oil and afterwards he drove around for a while until the engine started making real funny noises and smoking and then went BANG. Turns out they forgot to put the oil drain plug back on, or didn't tighten it.. he was running without any oil. Had to replace the engine. He had to sue them to get them to cover it.
Here is a picture one guy took of his air filter after he took it to a quick lube to get an oil change and filter replacement:

I definitely would not put it past most of those tards to not fuck up something related to the electrical/charging system.
I will NEVER take my car to a quick lube place. I either do it myself or take it to my VW performance shop. They charge like $75 but they do it right.

Is that what I think is going on there? An air filter on top of another or two filters jerry-rigged together to make it fit?
Think the worst I did was overfill a brake fluid resivour because it was so filthy I couldn't see the level. I told my manager and asked the best way to rectify it and he was like "Shhhhhhh! Don't let anyone see!" and he sopped up the excess fluid with a filthy rag
Lots of other shady shit wend down though. Overfills, underfills, draining the coolant instead of oil, pretty much anything that can go wrong does. I know a bit about cars but not a whole lot and they just asked me if I knew "lefty loosie, righty tighty" and threw me on topside because I was apparently the most competent one there

Oh, and BTW, OP. Keep an eye on the state of charge of your battery. If it drops like a stone tomorrow, that means the problem was actually something in the charging system, and the napa guy sold you a battery that you don't need.
It is good to know how to use a multimeter. They are cheap.

two filters jerry rigged together to make it fit I guess they didn't have the right size.. so it looks like they cut a part of his old filter and popped that in with the non-correct size filter. Absolutely ridiculous..
