Turkey vs no turkey
    #19200875 - 11/28/13 01:28 PM (10 years, 2 months ago)

So basically I have the choice of playing xbox or going to see my distant family (all but one who I haven't seen in almost 15 years) for thanksgiving dinner. Pros= turkey, cons= meeting a bunch of people who I don't know

What do I do?

I'm going out to dinner with my girl. I'm trying to find a place with turkey dinner and all the fixings. A full bar would be a plus too

Ah man... don't be that family member. Hell if the food isn't ready ask if they need help.

Bring some lawn darts or something, have fun. It's family, it may be awkward but who cares.
Trust me, as you grow older, you will wish you kept the "distant" family closer. I guess there are many exceptions, I mean if your family is normal, roll with it and try and have fun.

I ended up going. I've got a full belly and 2 plates full of food in my fridge... wasn't too awkward so I'd say it was worth it.
