first try

my fridnds first jar "was" comming along nice, it was about 70% done, now i notice that there is a small black dot in the middle of the growth.....should i toss it, or should i wait...or can it beat the contams out and still be ok?!....

no i cant... and it is good ryzomorphic, but it is getting a piss tint to it a little...can it kill it out?

The yellow taint could just be mycelium sweat, which is normal. Explain the look of the black dot a bit more though ?
For now just isolate it from anyothers jars.

Even if the mycelium manages to recover, you should break the cake in half when you birth it, so you can check the inside and see if the contamination hasn't spread.

can i cut the cake open...and take the "its a black dot...about half the size of an eraser head".....where the mycelium first started growing

The "black dot...about half the size of an eraser head" can be the "tip of the iceberg". Sometimes contams spread to the inner substrate and you just can't see it if you don't start digging the spot or breaking the cake. The problem without breaking the cake is that a sign of contamination indicates you have more probabilities for it to have developed elsewhere. This is true even if mycelium recovers the infected part.

IT HAS BEEN 2 DAY, AND THE "MISTERY" SPOT HASNT GROWN ANY....COULD IT BE "BRUSING"....BECAUSE I SHOOK THE JAR A LITTLE , IT WAS SHRINKING UP.....

you sure it's not just vermiculite,as the mycelium moves thru the jar you notice bits of dry verm that slipped down from your dry verm layer,you will only notice them against the white of the myc,you wont notice them against uncolonised substrate.

the mycelium is starting to grow over the "bluish" spot.........i think that my friend is going to spawn it to some horse poo...i have read some teks on it, but which is the easist for a first time grower like my friend?

I got a chance to look at the jars today, it is just the mycellium bluing.
