I am an aspiring gardener but alas I live in Ohio :frown:( but yeah, three species that'll definitely be necessary in there, when I do get a garden, are weed, bridgesii, and peyote  definitely will also add a ton of odd beautiful cacti and some grape vines and blueberries and raspberries and strawberries

My growing interest and passion for cacti was one of the reasons I moved back to my homeland of Southern California.

I quit pot for two years when I went back to school.  When I went to the University, I started smoking again and got almost 100% in calculus, earning me the "outstanding" comment on my "report card."
I dropped out of college to blow glass pipes.  It seemed like the best thing to do and I had a partner who was down to drop out and we worked together to make a successful business and we had a good time.

Jellyfish, the reason people who smoke weed don't go to get their masters is because they realize that's a complete waste of 8 years. Just more conditioning and programming. To everyone out there that thinks college opens peoples minds, fuck you open your own damn mind for Christ sake. Everything that is taught to you in college is knowledge that can be obtained for free somewhere else.

Never went to college, and ever wanted to, but I have a great desire to learn and I do it on my own. Currently I work in a lab with all sorts of science majors and masters. I am the only one with no college degree, just good experience.

If weed doesn't have positive effects for you, I would suggest you don't smoke. Weed does not make people less motivated or involved in their lives, those are just dumb lazy people.

Uh weed definitely makes me less motiveated and i don't consider myself "dumb lazy people". People need to stop making generalizations, for both sides. This is part of why i find cannabis culture highly annoying. "Oh we have studies that say weed is safe, now let's all ignore the personality issues it causes some of us." Your first comment is wrong too. Granted, i don't think a college degree is the right option for everyone, nor do i think it's a measure of success, or even the best method of education available... But that has nothing to do with it as i know plenty of graduate students who smoke weed and use all sorts of drugs. I can say about college what you said about weed in the last paragraph "if college doesn't have positive effects for you, i would suggest you don't go." But i wouldn't make all the other generalizations about weed and college you made. A masters isn't a waste of 8 years if you get what you want out of it.

I would say that's a "you" problem then, man... If it causes you personality issues then stay away from it. Not everyone gets the negative side effects and if you do that's a good sign you probably shouldn't use it.

Sure a masters is a waste, you pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for a piece of paper with your name on it, for learning things that are free knowledge. Get yourself a library card and give yourself 8 years of learning on your own and I gaurantee you would be wiser then all those paying for the exact same education as the guy next to him. It's all just regurgitated garbage that is approved by the government as to what should and should not be common knowledge. It's also a great way to keep people in debt their whole lives...

Yeah no shit it's a "me" problem. As well as a jellyfish problem. As well as a problem a lot of people have. Hence why i said your generalization that weed doesn't make people lazy is bogus. Because it does for a lot of us.

And like i said... Not a waste if you get something out of it. In my case, not a fucking chance of learning biochemistry and then pursuing a career for it by simply going to the library. Not a fucking chance. And money aint an issue. So once again, that's a generalization.

College isn't necessarily a waste. Now that I'm back on my feet financially and otherwise I'm going back in a few months. Then again I think there may be more better ways of educating people than those institutions

Honestly it doesn't destroy motivation in me it just makes me relaxed and tired when I'm on it. Thing is as soon as I wake up from a good stoned sleep I feel great.  You're not supposed to actually go to class and work WHILE YOU'RE STONED for these reasons, lol. If you're trying to go to work or class WHILE you're stoned then you deserve your impaired productivity, lol. Just wait till you're home and relaxing, like you're supposed to. That way it regenerates your hippocampus like it should

I find high THC weed gives me energy and motivation. THC is a phychoactive chemical, it should perk you up.

99% of the time I'm smoking indo but I usually go for blue dream when I'm lookin for sativa dominant, although it feels like an energetic indica high which is great.

It's not good when youre only friends cuz you both love weed and can't hangout without getting high.

I love smoking weed.  Fuck, it is my hobby.  I'm 110% no fuck that.  420% on board with you.  Smoking in general is fun - I find it super relaxing personally.  Just sitting there with my Gandalf and some tobacco even. I better have that pipe until the day I die.  Kept me high after my bong broke till I got my current one. Had to replace the down-stem today, broke the one it came with so I picked up a new one.  Got a little bowl piece too.  Just finished up with it in my shed, works like a charm.

That reminded me of a time I got high a number of years ago.  I was like 18 or so at the time and I'd been reading this book my father had on infinity.

Long story short, it was a nice day and I decided to go downtown and kill some time.  I hopped on the streetcar and eventually started chatting with some random dude.  We decided to split on an eighth and go smoke it.  We bought this super sticky bud from a random native dude who was walking around with a bottle of vodka half empty.  Now, I'd gotten pretty high before but this shit shot me over the moon.  And the mind fuck from reading that book?  Oh god it felt like shrooms.

But yeah, he was my friend for the day.  I've forgotten their name, but they know who they are...

The truth lies between. I cannot say it enough so I will say it again: The truth lies in the middle.

When I started smoking marijuana I discovered new aspects of the world, relaxation and everything related. The music I liked to listen to changed and expanded, my art went from stick figures to decent, and my whole attitude changed. When my mom started smoking weed medicinally, she went from being on 8 anti depressant, anxiety, and anti dementia medicines to three, and those three are at much lower doses to the benefit of her liver and kidneys. Studies show it can help prevent and cure cancer, protect the brain, and dramatically improve wellbeing in sick and healthy alike. When I smoke weed in anger, I nearly instantly am able to let go of my anger and problems and am more capable of empathy. I love weed and will always come back to it. I will always praise it wherever I go.

Studies have also shown it can cause some cancers, reduce brain function and brain activity in brain scans. When smoked at young ages this is most profound. I didn't smoke weed until I was 18 and still, after daily use I found myself with profound memory loss even days and weeks after quitting.
Someone else already said it and I'd like to agree: people tell me I look like I'm doing better when I quit smoking. I feel better once I get a few weeks out. I do not smoke weed anymore despite my love for it.

Anyone who tells you it's all good is nearly as misguided as the person who tells you it's all bad. ONE MORE TIME EVERYONE: in any rational debate the truth lies in the middle. People don't need to get offended when other people point out the middle ground that everyone willfully ignores. Those mentioning weed's downfalls are not typically anti weed, they are just being realistic. And I say that as a huge weed lover.

Nonsense, my university experience involved hours and hours of hands on lab work. Nothing I was told to do, I was experimenting on something new. You can't get that experience somewhere else. And I haven't been conditioned. In science, we treat everything as possibly not true. We just work to the best of our knowledge. We question everything, we try to disprove current theories. We challenge what we think are the laws of nature and space. You know nothing about it, clearly. Like I said, I didn't take liberal arts. And a drug that makes you lazy probably would make you come up with excuses not to work very hard. Personally, I'd like to just leave it for the weekend. But I like it too much. I know a ton of people who are very sharp and weed makes them (temporarily dumb and lazy).
