Psilocybin/LSD Comparison?

Hello all.
Years ago I had the opportunity and experience of growing my own cubes and devouring them. I had three trips spaced out over a week with short breaks in between.
I had one very beautiful and awe-inspiring trip (I'd say a level 4), one very terrifying but deeply introspective trip (I'd say a level 4, as well), and then by the last trip my tolerance level was built up to the extent that it was simply interesting but not at all intense (I'd say a level 2).
I've never regretted any part of that whole week and will always be grateful that I was able to experience it.
I've made a friend who enjoys LSD. He is a good, trustworthy and responsible person, knows all about set and setting and has offered to be my sitter while I try LSD out in nature.
I feel that this could be another wonderful opportunity, but I am wondering what to expect. I know that different people are, well different! So of course different people can experience quite different trips on the same thing. So I understand that nobody can tell me exactly what I would experience.
However, I have heard and read that Psilocybin and LSD are two different ballparks, and I'm wondering how true this is, as well as how specifically they are different (if it is true). So I thought I'd try asking those who have experienced both!
What I've read and been told so far is that Psilocybin tends to be a very introspective experience and sort of pulls apart one's mind, allowing a person to gain insight into themselves. I found this to be very true with my own experience. Whereas, with LSD it is more insightful with how a person relates to the world around them, and that LSD also tends to tap into "happier" energies (so to speak) whereas Psilocybin taps into whatever happens to be lurking in one's subconscious or unconscious mind, for better or worse.
Does this about right? Or no? Maybe something else to add?
Thanks for any input! I am just excited and also very curious about what others have experienced before I give it a try, myself.

Well I'm sure you'll get the, "That's already been posted" bs. But I love these kind of convo's.
I've tripped on LSD a lot more than I have been able to on Psilocybin but for me the differences are very apparent.
I couldn't list all of them, but a few of the the differences in the effects for me are:
Mushrooms sedate me alot, I have to spend the whole trip sitting or lying down usually. LSD energizes me on the right dose (between 100-500 ug)
Also mentally, LSD gets me interested in the impossible (or what we think is impossible currently). Where as Mushrooms just leave me in awe of how beautiful the natural world can be.
On very high dose of mushrooms, however, I can be shot out of this current universe completely. Yet no matter how much LSD I do (max 1,800 ug) I never really leave past the moon if you catch my drift.
Overall I prefer LSD, because of the stunning visuals and burst of mental and physical energy it gives me.

Perhapslsd's effects on dopamine receptors is responsible for a lot of it's euphoric effects. Shrooms, and dox compounds, have little affinity for dopamine receptors, unlike LSD. Not sure about mescaline or the 2c series
-------------------- On the ground you lay, with your dogs you pray, at a neon hieroglyph sky you gaze Hugging your mind, praying to survive, feeling the love of the hieroglyphs in the sky We all need more love, and mainly less hate Hate is the blind that covers the heart's eye That makes the heart's eye cry Locked deep away in the skies of our minds It's all in the mind

This is a good summary, I've done way more shrooms than LSD. Mindfuck and headspace, astral projection and pure ego death are more a shroom thing, the most intense and spectacular open eyed visuals you'll ever see are more of an LSD thing. Also, mushrooms make me want to lay back in the dark and listen to music, go internal and visit other worlds as the CEVs are amazing on a high dose, LSD makes me active has better OEVs than CEVs so it makes me want the lights on, to interact with the real world, look at lights and enjoy the visual pyrotechnics. If you've gone to level 4-5 with shrooms a low to medium dose of LSD will be a cakewalk, except for the fact that you will be tripping 2-3 times longer and the visuals will be more intense even if your headspace feels more sober.

Thank you much for the input! I am sure this topic has been covered half to death, but I love reading and hearing individual experiences and how they differ.
I agree with the thus far sentiment regarding Psilocybin. The trips (especially the first two) were not really 'fun' or exciting, but they were definitely amazing and left me with a lot to contemplate. Neither of them were very visual (except for I suppose in the second one when I thought I was blind for a while), but what they were like was not something I could ever really articulate very well. My five senses were all jacked up, but the experience in my mind (mental and emotional) was very detailed and complex. It kind of gave me a new perspective of "real" to be honest.
It sounds like with LSD, especially if I go way out in nature, will be a more pleasurable experience, still possibly introspective, but more so exciting and neat. I suppose I can just let myself enjoy that since I plunged through the Psilocybin experience already.

This is 100% true for me too.
