I get that part but I'm not going to split hairs over someone's "beautiful death" or their "glorious release of DMT from their pineal gland". It just sucks seeing people die even strangers. It's also not the concept of death, it's the philosophy of death, the concept is really straightforward.

It won't matter much. Dead is dead. A drug induced stupor would work for me.

Death might be a relief to some. Someone who is unhappy with their life. Or a really old person, who is just tired of living whilewaiting to die.

I'm not talking about anything so metaphysical--merely an acceptance that death is part of life and not necessarily sad.
You may feel that it always sucks to see someone die, but others won't necessarily hold the same opinion.

My grandma's turning 100 on 12.1 but is currently busy dying. Believe me I understand when it's not necessarily sad, she's missed my grandfather for 30 years now. It will be a relief to all. But it will still suck. Make sense?

No, I definitely understand where you are coming from.
I had a grandfather die about a year ago, similar situation--I can understand how, even in the case that a death is not sad, knowing that this person will never be around again can still 'suck'--but death is not the only way things can come to an end, impermanence is a part of this reality--and as such, I have my ways to deal with it, and view it less as part of death, than I view death as part of impermanence.
Really, the only negative emotion I'm likely to get from death is the awareness that family and friends (and even sometimes strangers when I'm feeling extra compassionate) are suffering through a sadness as they mourn the loss of a loved one. Even here, I don't view this so much as a part of death, but rather a product of how our culture/society views death.
Of course, in the case of a violent/painful death, or a death that I perceive to be premature, my response may differ.

as far as OP, I'd rather see it coming.
I watched my grandfather slip away as I held his hand, in the ICU of the hospital. It was one of my most brutal and powerful experiences. Also a valuable one I'll never forget.

it's just transcendence. it's actually rather beautiful; but a sad beauty of course.

I would like something slow and agonizing, with a sexual twist... bleeding out. Making the last hours be the most living time of my life... a pain worth a lifetime in one short session... what the release would be.. could not be imagined..

All the hippie tards are gonna say that when you die you go into some bs DMT trip. Sure, maybe the pineal gland does release DMT. BUT IT IS ONLY A THEORY so don't pass it off as some accepted universal idea. Man that really grinds my gears.

At least that is somewhat backed by science, what really grinds my gears is when religious people act like they know there's an afterlife and shit, now that is not backed by science, not even a little bit.

. but then again everything is relative...
just think about this; In a "worst" case scenario... one would stop excisting? I wonder how that would feel... sometimes it would be a better option.. for then I could just be done with this idiocy mankind has made... lol (no I am not going to kill myself.. .. Have something important to do at the moment )

If you keep existing it would suck. If you went to heaven, and you were the same you for eternity, it would get really lame and boring after a while. It would almost be a form of torture. No experiences would be knew again. Reincarnating would be much more gratifying.

I don't think even religious really believe there's an afterlife otherwise they would not fear to die or for their kids to die. They would celebrate when their kid was killed by a car because it was in paradise and spared from 80 years in the veil of tears.
Do you remember Susan Smith? She drowned her kids to make sure they'd go to heaven instead of growing up to possibly reject Jesus. It was a horror case. But if you think about her belief what she did was absolutely correct. If she could ensure the kids to go to a good afterlife and eliminate the possibility of them going to hell then it would be foolish not to drown them. But even religious were horrified by what she did. If religious really believed in heaven and hell they would all have the faith of Susan Smith.

I remember her, but didn't follow the story closely. I never knew her motive. This is an interesting perspective.
In response to OP, Awake for sure. I want to experience as much out of life as I can, including death. I often wonder how many people that die in there sleep, woke up before they died. I think something like a heart attack would wake some people up.

I wish all religious people would do that... Seriously, I'm tired of religion.
