Well? Where do you think this mess is headed? Will they get it fixed in time or will they fuck it up?

I'm a no vote. With what they have shown us so far I have no confidence that this Administration can fix can opener.

It was a terribly designed piece of software from the looks of it, but it's not something your current administration can just throw money at to fix as anyone who develops software knows. Will it be fixed by the end of the month? I don't know - it depends what needs to be fixed with it. It does look like it was a very poorly managed project. Unfortunately this is quite common with many software companies, especially large ones. For example, I used to work at RIM (Blackberry). They did NOT manage projects well at all and as a result were late with many products.

I don't think healthcare in America can really be fixed without first a Stalin style purge of republicans and corporate leaders who have long blocked socialized healthcare. And there is frankly zero support for mass murder of any political party and the military would never go for it since they are a lot of republicans too, so it seems like it will not happen. Its a shame really.

Clearly no.
When did a government ever made something that worked properly and on time in the history of mankind? Never.
The problem with government is that they try to do shit themselves instead of hiring a private company specialized in whatever they want to make. The US gvmt isn't a website building organisation. They should have outsourced it to google or whatever.

At least you can assuage your shame with the fact that you are a fair and balanced thinker who loves free speech so much that he would kill for it.
Or at least that part you agree with...

But they did hire a private company.. Obviously the US government didn't try to build a website themselves, that would be ludicrous. They hired CGI. I posted earlier about how this is a common issue with many software companies (poor planning), only it's never as visible as this is.

I wouldn't mind if the government hired a well established company to make what they want to do even if it's going to cost 10 to 20% more. We all know that if they hire the cheapest guy around the cost will end up doubling for all the reasons in the world...

CGI isn't a cheap small company. They are a huge well established company.

I just got our premium notice not too long ago. We'll be paying more and we are being dropped from the employer plan because my wife has cancer and it is dragging down the rest of the company's opportunity to have affordable health care coverage so my wife and I are going to be paying more for even less.

well my dad has been paying $15000 a year for a collective family health care plan (like $350 a month of that was for me) and now I am going to be paying my own on a separate plan through obamacare for $111 a month and it covers more things than the old plan, like addiction treatment and mental health (including psychologists, etc.)

Something like 35% of quotes for prices coming from Obamacare are off by a considerable margin. Wait until you get the premium bill and then you will know if you got what you wanted.

"blocked socialized health care"
You know who else blocked socialized health care, the Democrats!! Guess who has been receiving the majority of the health care lobbyists (who wrote Obama Care) money the last few years? That's right, the democratic party.

They sure did bull their way through when it came to passing the legislation. No Republicans signed on to it and that tells you something right there about how radical Obamacare is and what it is going to do is not something we want to bear witness to at this time. Besides, socialized medicine has failed in every country that has tried it.

My state-run exchange works wonderfully, I just looked up plans for a coworker today. Imagine how much more smoothly this shit would be working if the GOPers in the biggest welfare receiving states (and unhealthiest states) would have just set up their own fucking exchange?
