I live in MN and its winter now.. if I throw my substrates that ate spent or contamed outside will they possibly fruit in the spring? Or is there a way to store them to throw out in the spring?

They're almost definitely fucked. You could try burying them in dirt and keeping that in the garage, but I'm not hopeful.

Well my plan is to bury all my substrates outside in the same place after I'm done with them and eventually they might start to grow outside and spread

I was able to get outdoor cubes all the way up here in Canada this summer so temp depending, i would always chuck stuff outside. I have to use wire wrapped flower pots though as the mice or rats go fucking apeshit for psilo grain spawn!

The cube myc won't take a MN winter very well but if you start chucking your subs outside in spring you'll see cubes throughout the warm months.

it freezes over here on the coast every year, chuck some straw/woodchips/foliage or whatever to incubate it during the cold weather, i've fruited pans/cubes amongst other tropics with ease up here

One time I dumped a spawn bag full of colonized popcorn that had a few green spots into some straw outside and it colonized the straw, but a ton of weird bugs I'd never seen before infested it.. A few cubes grew but were rife with maggots and bugs..
