about cakes
    #1919084 - 09/15/03 07:59 PM (13 years, 6 months ago)

A story I randomly heard-"I had 12 pf cakes of creeper going along rather well. It got about half way through so I removed the tape and flipped the jars. About a week later they were ready to be birthed. I was in the process of moving, and the jars got packed into the bottom of a box and forgot about for about 2-3 weeks. When I looked at them the next time, 6 of them were stalled so I threw them out. The other 6 looked kind of odd. There was a gap between the bottom of the cakes and the jar when they got filpped, and now the entire gap was filled with mycelium. That night a dunked all the cakes, 3 in two seperate containers overnight in the fridge. When I got them out there was a little bit of ice in one of the containers(it's amazing, damn cold fridge for such a cheap ass apartment) The cakes also seemed like they puffed out. Do you think I hurt any of the cakes in this process? Also about the creeper strain, how potent are they compared to Ecuadors?"

Sounds like a big opps,  But i think you should be kool. My hippie friend just birthed a cake that was knocked up in march. This jar stalled,, so he placed it in a shoe box and forgot about it. Months later he relized it was fully colonized and birthed it. Yesterday he noticed lots of pins.  (creepers the shit)

Stay Kool, and enjoy the bus ride.....

I'm sure you damaged them, they'll just stall for a bit, but they should still produce, cubes are a very resilliant organism!
