Stop blowing air at them for minutes at a time. Fanning is only to exchange the air. Fan for 10-20 seconds.
Don't blow a humidifier in the same space as the FC, it is ruining the natural currents that humidify the SGFC. Run it in the room, not in the closet. There should be little to no air currents blowing around the FC.
Rewet your perlite, dunk the cakes, and give it a go like this.
Mist and fan on schedule as I stated above.

The cakes feel very hard. Is that another sign of dryness?

So I removed all the shitty looking aborts, resoaked all cakes for 24 hours, soaked perlite in the shower, dunked, rolled and now im misting and fanning. I bought a new fluorescent 6500k light and im keeping my fingers crossed. Looks a bit better though, doesn't it? Have a trippy Thanksgiving!

Updates! Show and tell! And more stupid questions! So the above cakes are about 4 days following my resoak and reroll. Since them I have been spraying them fairly well about 5 times daily and fanning after this with hepa filter for about 30 seconds. Looks pretty good huh? The above substrate jars have been colonizing for about 2 weeksish. The reason I have pictured them here is because a few of them seem to have some orange speckling. The color is present on the holes on the jar lid. Which is why that is pictured. WTF is this? You know its hard to tell if its substrate mix or what. What do you think?
My other question: Is there a point to when I should STOP misting and fanning? Or reducing misting and fanning?

Don't ever stop or reduce misting and fanning.
Do stop using that hepa filter. Just fan with the lid for 15-30 seconds.
The orange on the jar lid is just oxidation from moisture. No need to worry.
