Question regarding my spawning to monotub (Concern)

So i was spawning to my tub yesterday and decided to go overkill and spawn 9 jars to a brick of coir. Upon breaking the spawn up in the jar the bottom cracked off one of the jars, exposing the spawn. I ended up taking a knife and chopping it up until it would come out. I'm pretty sure that would not be a vector of contamination would it? just wanted to get some opinions. I pasteurized in a large spawn bag for 1.5 hours.

if the spawn was 100% colinized then you could pick your but and then dig it out and it would be ok. but im not sure if your talking about the grain spawn or the coir?

Yup. I do it with my nasty-ass hands, which I sometimes wash.

The inside of the grain probably was not colonized. Generally, mycelium colonizes the outside of the grain. Different grains may vary.
By exposing the uncolonized inside of the grain you have opened the door to contamination taking hold.
This is one reason we break up the grains by shaking instead of digging it out with a spoon.
It's not a guarantee that your grow will contaminate, but it does increase the risk.
Please post back with your results.

Being a G2G jar does not mean the inside of the individual kernel was colonized

I wouldn't be. Spitball is talking about the inside of your grains, not the inside portion of your grain jar. Mycelium spreads and covers the outside of grains without necessarily filling them up and spreading throughout the inside of each individual grains. While I haven't heard anything about this increasing contamination risk when using a tool to break up colonized grain, I can see what he's talking about.

it needs to have high CO2 during colonization.
FAE is a pinning trigger after colonization.
FAE should be introduced at 100% colonization to induce pinning.
Opening the lid everyday is introducing FAE too early

i thought fae was constant air exchange? a 5 second picture shouldnt be enough to initiate pinning, right?
