Productivity of outdoor growing vs indoor growing

Hey shroomery,
I'm interested in lessening the amount of work I have to do to grow a mushroom, some productivity loss is ok, thus the following question:
Starting with colonized quart jars, let's say you want to grow outdoors and the temp and humidity is good.
How productive would your outdoor bed be compared to an indoor grow? Let's say you're doing pasteurized horse manure and mixing that with the grain spawn.
Also, what would the productivity be between growing outdoor like the above conditions, vs. growing using UNpasteurized horse manure. Would there be a significant drop in productivity? Thanks a bunch

Well if the temps and humidity are right you can do it. provide shade if too hot and water if too dry. there is way more light space and fresh air outside so i imagine they would benefit from all the light and fresh air, plus you got all the space in the world and no need to buy tubs.
though you would also have the natural problems of outdoor mushys which would be fungus gnats, bugs, etc. there might be ways to deter them from your 'patch' but idk ive never done outdoor growing. planning on it though coming spring if i can find a nice shaded spot with good water access
i wanna hear input on this as well

Sure, and BE is all very nice, but the OP just wants maximum yield for minimum work. While I've never done a true outdoor grow, I think it has some real potential. About four months ago NewfoundFreedom had an outdoor grow in two tubs of unpasteurized manure which grew a great number of very large and dense fruits with almost no effort. I'd look through the thread just for the pin porn alone, but he ended up pulling out about three pounds dry without breaking much of a sweat.
