Life Envisioning

Where do you envision or want youre life to be like? Or are you already living youre life the way you want too that youre content with, what do you really want to do? What I envision my perfect life to be is hopefully moving from the midwest and maybe move somewhere on the pacific west coast,And having a decent paying job over there. I would like a chill girl to talk too,and a decent group of people to hang with every now and then. I dont want to live in a sprawling, overpopulated city. Just a medium sized city with like 100,000 to 500,000 people. Where there is a good music and art scene. It would be kind of cool to live in one of those bicycle cities where you dont even need a car where you can get around the city easily on a bicycle or on foot. I think i could be content with that kind of lifestyle. What about you?

I honestly don't know. The only thing that pops up is doing rediculous amounts of oxycodone on a house boat while the sun is setting in a warm place.
The more realistic life? I guess a job where I make my own hours, make like $90k a year...have my own house with some land in the mountains. and become a morning person. and meet a girl (or marry this girl I already adore lol) AND responsibly use oxy...like twice a month or something

The older I get, the more my vision of life gets clouded out by apparent necessities. Sometimes I hate it. Oftentimes I'm content.
I just want to get to the point where I wake up in the morning and look forward to most of my day. I used to be that way. The specific content can be whatever, as long as I look forward to it. If that happens again, I will have arrived.

I'm 51 so my life is more than half over at this point. What I wanted to be and what I am turned out quite differently. When I was a young man I wanted to be a game warden, but I turned out to be too big of a criminal for that to work out (I got caught spotlighting deer on a national wildlife refuge the night before deer season started). You go where life takes you and where it takes you can b e some pretty neat places.

i'm with you. it doesn't matter where you are or what you have, it's all about state of mind.

Oregon was one of the main places I've been looking at, that in Washington state. I heard Portland is a great city though. I heard it's laid back, has a hipster feel to it and a clean city, just the place I need to be.

All of these things are true. Seattle is similar but its generally more hectic and larger than portland.

Pretty sure I'll be a lazy scrub my whole life. Live in shitty apartments, be single, drink too much, never progress.
That's how I envision my life.

i wouldn't mind a shitty apartment as long as i don't need a roommate. that would just kill all the joy out of it.

I think a shitty apartment with one or two roommates is fine, as long as there's enough room and they're relatively cleanly. Shitty apartments can really snowball into horrible horrible places to live if you don't stay on top of shit though.

I'm pretty happy with my life at the moment. I don't have a lot of long term goals beyond like 5 years or so. I just know I want to skate across the entire country for like 6 months during spring summer before I'm 30. I also want to turn my AA into a BS at a respectable Uni in some kind of engineering, chemical/material or metallurgy or something.
I also want to own a german shepherd, and just enjoy the shit out of nature in general... Simple shit I guess. I don't really want much for material things, the single wide I live in is a palace for most people and it's good enough for me for a long, long time (rent is only $250 a month! DIRT cheap up here in Nodak).
--------------------
And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.

why? what kind of shit happens?
(and roommates would have to listen to music and loudly, or else we'd have problems. i'd probably get a friend whom is into music like me, to hovel up with)
