Headaches

Anyone ever had a spinal tap performed?
Only 5cc of fluid sucked out of my spine, but the headaches, Christ, the headaches.
It's been four days now and the pain is in all of the back of my head, top of my spine, encompassing all of my rear neck muscles.
It's been Aspirin, Paracetamol, Etizolam and Clonazepam down the hatch. Pretty much every four hours. Still fucking hurts.
So, one cap and stem, weight negligible. Took a couple of hours to kick in, but it done worked a treat. Still some pain somewhere if I look hard, couldn't really care about it though. Did for me what modern pharmacology couldn't.
I've said it before, Psilocybin is a great headache medicine. I'm off work anyway on account of this. I plan to continue for as long as necessary.
Pain, who needs it?
I know of Clusterbusters, but I'm sure there's plenty more headachey type symptoms this magical fungus can treat.
Discuss.

Was the spinal tap to check for meningitis?
I was recently diagnosed with Lyme disease and I contracted meningitis as a side effect; so I understand the pain.... HANDS DOWN it was the most miserable 5 weeks of my life! Like you I tried every painkiller the docs gave me and NOTHING took the edge off. The only thing that helped was green! I would HIGHLY (no pun intended) recommend tracking down a heavy Indica strain.. In my case it helped bring the pain down to a tolerable level and enabled me to get a little sleep here and there.

Checking to see if I have a virus in my spine. (I don't).
My heart goes out to anybody who has to live with chronic pain.
But, I tell you this, it was pain 0, Psilocybin 1. Hands down winner.
Same again today if needs be.
We need a thread about legitimate medicinal uses of the sacred mushroom, beyond the usual seeing patterns, meeting god type stuff that is posted day in, day out.
SoCalHunter, are you getting well?

Glad to hear that your tests came back negative! I found that used medicinally in low doses(.5g) every other week for ~2 months kept horrendous migraine headaches at bay for over a year. Just goes to show that they hold the capability to cure many ailments if used properly.
I'm slowly but surely getting better, thanks for asking. The worst for me is over (hopefully). I've been on antibiotics for almost a month now; and the doc says I should make a full recovery by mid to late December.

Good news, SoCal.
Woke up this morning, first day without a headache. Looks like I'm out of the woods finally.
Was so sick of the pain, I went to my doctor yesterday and he prescribed me some Codeine Phosphate. Don't need it now.
Anyway, I managed two paid week's off of work, and Christmas coming up. Silver lining, and that.
I'll be refusing any further spinal taps in future, unless it's life or death.
