So I finally summoned the will to try and pay back student loans

So I look into my student loans, and I see it has accumulated to $6,000 of unpaid money. The thing is, I think I can pay it all off at once right now... But I don't see an option to.
It seems that it ONLY allows you to pay by your income (thus dragging you into the system even more), and won't let me pay at once.
Is anyone seeing this problem?
I will have to call them to see if I can pay at once once I've got even more will
Is there a way I can simply give them my bank routing/account number and wire them the money like normal?

$6,000? That's like one year of frugality. Stop being so fucking dramatic.

Uh, no. If you have the cash, "this note is legal tender for all debts, public and private."

What the hell are you talking about? Why not just call whoever you have your student loan with and say you want to make a large payment?
And 6 grand? You have that to pay it off right now? It wouldn't hurt, especially at the interest rate on 6 grand.
I just accumulated a little bit of interest since November of 2009, but then again that's the last time I paid, at 3.5 I need to get around to paying it off little by little next year, but I have been kicking it around, deferring it, etc. I kinda wish I hadn't had to do that but if I had the ability to do that less things would be an issue money wise anyway. It's only 1.5 thousand, but I need to whittle away at it again when I get the chance.
Just need to start making some real money, and that means getting over my disability, and maybe even filing disability on something until I can heal it, it just takes time
Years and years back I paid the remaining 2,500 on my car loan. It was 225 a month, I had a bunch of money and a part of that money was a consumer deposit, that was coming back up again and instead of getting a little bit of interest, I saved the interest and added the 2 grand that was in it to 500 bucks, I figured that's just two months worth anyway (or close) and then the other amount nukes the rest.

Aren't the interest rates really low?
I owe quite a bit and was delinquent for a couple years due to being incarcerated.. After I pay for 9 months straight I can get loans again (probly won't though).
But they take off a bunch of interest after you pay it off.
