Well, we do not fan for FAE, the chamber usually gets that constantly from the holes we drill..so your question is invalid.
You would have to fan multiple times per hour....and even then the chamber would not function correctly.
Drill 1/4" holes every 2" on all 6 sides in a grid pattern according to the tek and also mist/fan the chamber manually.
There is no way around manually misting and fanning a SGFC...there is no way around drilling the holes....this requires both.

But, what if it's a Monotub? Those have properly dialed in stuffed holes, and you keep an ambient fan on in the room, right?

Depends on what OP is referring to...he was vague....
If he is doing bulk in a monotub, he would have to drill holes for the polyfill.
If he is doing cakes in a SGFC he would have to drill holes as described in my post above.

Ideally we would just case it and open up your FAE holes and wait for harvest. But I tend to want to look and check on things. Then I mist, which sometimes I over do. So I come back and fan until the moisture looks how I want it.
My understanding is that evaporation is the main cause of pinning. So increases FAE while keeping your moisture levels relatively constant would be ideal. But IME not very easy while misting/fanning
edit - If I had more confidence I would do set and forget, but for a myriad of reasons I don't think i've ever done this. But I wish I could
