Anyone ever try iboga?

I know that in a therapeutic dose used to treat serious addiction, it is quite a taxing and difficult trip, but I read that a low dose can be quite enjoyable.

I don't know. I feel like a low dose would just feel uncomfortable. It is a good hallucinogen for figuring out problems but if you do opiates with it or anything like that you are fucked. It is a drug you should never mix medication with.

Have you tried iboga?
I also just read this, which is making me rethink giving it a try:
"A bad-trip on iboga is absolutely far, far, far worse than the worst bad-trip on LSD, shrooms, ayahuasca or DMT. Iboga goes deeper than anything else and it is very intense.
I think that my previous experiences with psychedelic's and especially with ayahuasca have enabled me to overcome this drawback i've dealt with and to deal with it in a positive way, but it has left me psychologically drained for at least two months.
I felt unfit to take any psychedelic drug for the past few months. I felt the opposite of a positive afterglow. I even had moments that i craved for marihuana and unhealthy food, wich is the total opposite of what iboga used in a therapeutic way, is supposed to give you."

I don't know...I would much rather do ayahuasca in a legitimate shamanic setting than iboga. Iboga is hellish from what I've heard. You have visions of yourself being mutilated and you relive bad memories. Everyone is different though but I have heard its a hard trip. I would much rather do ayahuasca because it is much more spiritual of a journey whereas iboga is completely analytical from what I've read about the two. I don't mind reliving bad memories and having violent visions because ayahuasca can have the same things but I trust ayahuasca more.

This talk is really interesting. This guy tried it under a shaman and he said that while in the ayahuasca tradition the paradigm is to go far, in the iboga tradition the paradigm is to go deep.
A lot of the harrowing reputation might be due to the prevalence of its use among people detoxing opiates.
This guy said he had never gotten such direct answers to things he wanted to know. With most psychedelics, you set an intent, and you get insights which are tangentially related to your intent, but the iboga was like a direct fucking line, where anything he wanted to know about himself or the universe was answered directly in the style of a question-answer session.

I would imagine that since the majority of iboga users use while withdrawing from opiates, it would make the good/bad trip ratios pretty skewed. I think any trip would be hard if you're body was going through that.

That's what I just said.
Okay, if I don't prove to myself that I can get off the fucking shroomery I am going to have to take iboga for my internet addiction. Peace for tonight.

It's a pretty uncommon experience for people. I would likely enjoy such a drug.
