Bridgesii question
    #19178739 - 11/23/13 12:20 PM (10 years, 3 months ago)

So I have this T.B. growing and it seems one of the tops is turning monstrose. I am about 99% sure of it. Is this common with the T.B.?  Do the Monstrose cacti flower.  I wish I could post a pic , but alas I have no working camera ATM.

I would say its common but it happens. I have a cutting that terminates as monstrose then pups and grows again. I guess you could call it Melted Wax/Semi monstroe clone although it doesnt usually go monstrose and usually just has lots of rib play(gain amd lose ribs).

Monstrose dose flower eventually as zelly a member on an australian forum showed a flowering TBM. It is rare that it flowers although it is possible.

Ill post a picture of mine later.

We have a clone here called Bruce that is a semi monstrose. The mother plant dosent seem to show the trait as much as a lot of its potted clones and she does flower.

Cheers
