Growing out of a mulch, woodchip pile. They froze over a few times before i saw them so the more mature specimens were all mush, leaving my fingers rusty red from handling. after cutting the stems bruised a red, pink color. green and white around the base. the stems here hollow maybe with age as well the one you see it isnt completely hollow, stems seem to bulge with age. they smell good. kinda like syrup or something. maybe thats just me. the mature specimens were pretty big 6+ inches across. mini bic. the last small guy might be an inch long. they were groups. two within 3ft of each other. only the two groups. under a maple ,a pine ,and an alder.

Yeah, that blue-green staining is a dead giveaway.

The dosage is a little low on that page. They are incredibly unpotent.

Although all Gymns are variable in potency colony to colony and fruit to fruit, the info on luteofolius is pretty accurate IME... junonious is pretty lame though. those are the only two I have personal experience with. It might be slightly low but half the strength of cubes seems about right, its just harder to choke 'em down so it seems like more, at least for me.

yeah i was bummed but happy to see them i thought they were leaves at first then surprised by how big they were. it froze for three days before i saw them so most were pretty well gone by the time i saw them. just turned the soggy old caps back in the same place, next year..?

provided the weather is similar to what we've had this season. we need some good rain with no high winds.

I ate 9 dry grams of luteofolius and felt like I had eaten less than a half a gram of cyans. I think they very a lot.

i would say 10-20g dry is a good dose to try for Gymnopilus that contain tryptmine alkaloids.

yeah i just chewed up that big green stem. about 2 gs. everything just looked a little prettier. went to sleep about 2 hours later. nothing amazing def. not very potent but im happy with that. i dont need the mind blowing trip. a nice mellow fry is good enough. im thinkin 3-5 gs should be enough to get some patterns going.
