coldness during session: do mushrooms lower metabolism?

I tried to actually post in the "Trip Report" forum ... couldn't figure that out .. I took 1 gram (dry).
I recently elaborated on the details of a recent session, that was, incidentally, quite erotic. Didn't want to "flame" the same post over here in its entirety, since now actually I have some other comments.
But anyhow, what I DID want to mention is that I got very cold during the session, and needed to bundle up pretty good; I already normally have fairly low blood pressure; sometimes as low as 90 over 60 .. true, I am very athletic. Wondering if the mushrooms tends to slow metabolism?
I realize now, also, that my music sequences were not thought out as well as they should (could?) have been ... too much slow, lethargic sounding stuff.
But later into the session I did have some illuminating personal-encounter type experiences with individuals from my past that some unresolved friction lingers ... as if taking the mushroom had some level of "empathogen" characteristics .. hmm, wonder how common that's reported.
I'm still wondering about the physical coldness though ....

I have a tendency to get profoundly cold somewhere around the first hour mark after dosing, but it only lasts for a short window of time and then goes away. When I'm sober I happen to be very cold tolerant.

Does this always happen when you take mushrooms? it's not uncommon to feel cold on psychedelics.

I don't think the active compounds do, at least.
As for getting cold that is a common effect. Or "wet" feet. It's just a mindf**k.

They will make things like that feel exaggerated. Especially cold. I've also had experiences of overwhelming heat on shrooms, but only when it really was overwhelmingly hot.

Well, I've only done mushrooms 2 times now (for cluster headache issues) ... I can live with the coldness if it's gonna come around ... just wondered if it lowers BP even further ... (maybe I need more upbeat music ...haha)

Yeah, i wouldn't worry about it. Perhaps in future try drinking some ginger tea (which can really help with circulation etc.).
