I recently bought a thing of Instant Coffee at the dollar store, as instant coffee's i notice have gotten better. I used it up quick kinda wish i had some now.
Started with the Nescafe brand, not that one, but another one, that my pops brought home. Turns out they sell it here.
I had a thing of it when I first moved in as I had no microwave and the coffee maker and whatever wasn't here, just had the one cup coffee maker, no filters (now I use a french press) I didn't even have the electric teakettle from goodwill I have now so I used an automatic hard boiled egg cooker shaped like a chicken, think it's called the henrietta cooker or something but it just boiled the water and i dumped it in a small cup.
this instant had the chicory, which some people like. I think it's okay, but it's decent tasting, as long as its not nasty tasting it doesn't have to be awesome.

I think you made a good argument there.
What do you guys think about the keurig k cups? I'm talking about those coffee makers where you put in one of those little cups, then it makes one cup of coffee within like a thirty second time frame compared to the real thing. I still am living with my rents and they bought one of those and I am not sure what to think about it.

lol holy shit I love coffee
at work we always bring "the good stuff" and leave the restaurant coffee to the customwrs, which tastes like instant coffee comparatively

Coffee is like the only addiction that just make sense. I get more satisfaction from it then around the fourth or fifth day awake on meth.
Sure, a rig full of some thick syrup is nice. But damn, I think I look more forward to that fresh smell of roasted beans. Whether I am at home or at the coffee shop, whenever I walk into the room the brew is being prepared there is always a few things in common. You feel a moment of relief, warmth, love, and a comfortable opiate like feeling that warms you up from the cold outside. Everything looks and feels brighter and more clear, your body begins to warm up and you hold the cup of coffee in your hands to be completely relieved of the outside elements or simply the drag of getting out of your bed and into the kitchen. Then lastly, the actual effects of coffee are only a small part of the ritual. You go from brain fog to a clear, manageable, every day mindset that not only increases productivity, but makes you more happy, social and is easy to integrate into your daily routine. It's almost a staple.
When you make instant coffee, you basically are basically taking a metaphorical dump on this entire process. I hope your kids make instant coffee when they grow up, so they can be just like you.
Unbelievable. Shame on you.
