Currently holding on some odd 50lb of good possible bad wheat grass seed. Mites have been the down fall to probobly all or most of my chances on getting good wheat grass grow, but what do you all think about me making most of my surpluss for main substrate.
If you all agree that this would be great for substrate; What else should I use? Brown rice flour, vemiculite. PF Tech~

Sounds like an awesome brand name. Try "Good Possible Bad" for all those times you want to roll the dice.

You can use wheat grass as a bulk substrate for an outdoor bed, but I wouldn't use it indoors. It might be similar to hay or straw, which can work indoors, but likewise I wouldn't try it for the same reason, it's very prone to contamination. Indoors I believe you need to actually wash the straw/soak it in bleach or something and I don't think the yields compare to poor or coir anyhow. Maybe just save it for the spring and try an outdoor bulk patch.

I wouldn't use the actual grass I would soak seeds for overnight, then pressure cook. I am wondering if adding brown rice flour to fill the remaining space the seeds will live for more food for the fruit bodys.

pick one, BRF or rye grass seed if u are starting out. eliminate as many variables as u can. the Violet tek uses rye grass seed, but for some reason, her hydration method seem strange to me, but her results are good. just type in "Rye Grass Seed" in search, or follow PF tek. I think Evilmushroom666 has a thread about the newest one "2013 BRF" or something to that effect

I could be wrong, but I recall RR saying that straw is not very nutritious and must be combined with poo for a good yield.
