still pins at harvest

I recently harvested a large handful of mushrooms from a plant I
previously inoculated with colonized Rye grain mixed with manure and
set outside for about a month or more. When the weather cooled down
these plants which are very important to me because my grandmother
gave them to me about 4 years ago before she passed Had to be brought
inside since they were mostly tropical and would have died very
quickly. Well when I brought them inside 1 of them started fruiting
and produced a large amount of pins and a handful of Large fruits so I
picked the fruits yesterday but left the pins which seem to be growing yet very slowly.
Was this a bad idea to leave the slow growing pins attached to mature or does it make no difference?

The worst idea was the way you've laid out yr thread / question
Also I don't believe that you inoculated a plant with colonised rye grain and got results

The pins will be fine to be left to grow The "soil" used in a lot of plants is usually coir, so many species do well in it. Sometimes its not intentional. Found this in my bonsai tree. Its most likely a conocybe from what the guys in the hunting and id forum tell me, but its not active. Still kind of cool tho

Myc can sometimes lay down pins for multiple flushes. Leave them alone unless their caps blacken (aborts).

Ok so what I did was mixed colonized grain with moisturized manure then I dug a hole on the outside of my potted plant up against the pot itself then covered it with some more potting soil so I don't know why you have trouble believing it since it's worked for me all summer long. Also I figured that would make it easier to read.
Thanks for your help and I was kinda wandering if me leaving some of the pins still attached would slow down or maybe stop a second flush from happening an a timely manner?

Those pins you left are your second flush.
