Here are a couple pics ~36 hrs. from the last.

Again, more have formed than I expected.  Maybe dude could pluck some of the smaller guys in hopes that the larger ones will have enough energy to sporulate - but he won't.  Ahh.  He will just let them be and let nature take its course.  *fingers are crossed*

And thank you Anno so much for this wonderfull culture!  It has been a very rewarding experience watching these grow!

Anno,

Do you know who regenerated this species.  I know only one specimen was found in Florida by Dr. Stephen Pollock in 1977 (I believe).  And all prints/ cultures in circulation came from this fruit.  correct?

Could you or anyone else enlighten me as to how it was regenerated.  I have an idea, but would like some facts.  Also any other backgroungd information would be greatly appreciated!

Here's the nicest of the second flush so far.  Dude took this one about 2 hrs ago:

Dude gave it a heavy spraying right after that pic.  Dude said that under many of the caps, he can see a darker area in the top quarter of the gill area (I don't know the terminology)!  He will probably get some prints from this flush, one flush up from last time.  But I still am not betting yet!

This was taken shortly after being sprayed.  It shows their size relative to a smoke.

Obviously this isn't the mushroom to grow if you are looking for mass, they are special!

Here is one from this morning.  It shows a couple of caps opened up, and ready to print!  Dude said that he thinks a good amount from this flush should be printable!

Here is a quick update;
first pic from third flush:

Sadly, last week, dude came home to an empty humidifier last week.  It had been blowing dry air on the guys for numerous hours.  All of the caps that were beginning to open in the last pic began to curl under and half of the fruitbodies were turning blue!  :frown:

Again, no prints from the second flush.  Now let's hope for this one!

I made some tea with 4g. of the dry fruits.  It was split between me and my g.f.  I hadn't tripped in months, and it was a very rewarding experience!  Enlightening, and cleansing.  I feel rejuvenated.  The comedown, was very, very philosophical almost like something was channeling wisdom and wit through me.  Creativity and insight on a level I hadn't seen from so low a dose.  I didn't take enough to get much more than waves visually, but it was the perfect dose for me.

Six posts in a row. I may end this log after this flush, or only update at the end of each.

Heres a pic about 24 from the last.

As the flushes progress, the quantity of mushrooms decreases while their relative size seems to increase. They appear to mature more quickly as well. I wonder if there is any variation in potency... nevermind, I'd rather not open that can of worms.

Thanks Joshua!

The upload limit is reached, so I can't post a pic yet.  This morning, dude looked at the fruits and a bunch of the caps were open wide.  He refilled his humidifier so dry air won't cause this flush to come to a screeching halt.

The odd thing is that he can't see any spores in the gills of the opened caps.  In the past (if I am remembering correctly) he would see a dark area under the caps indicating spores.  He said he won't pick any until he can see the dark area, unless of course the begin to fall over or rot or something...

I don't reply or post here very often, and when I do, I really mean what I say.
With that having been said, very nice job my friend (Dude). Dude should be proud of himself, and I mean that...

Well, thanks guys!  Dude really appreciates it. Although, he can't even really take half the credit...

Here's some nice ones:

All of those wide open caps, but he can't see any spores under the caps.  Dude will decapitate 2 and try to print them tonight.  The last flush there were noticeable spores in the gills before they opened this far.  We will know by morning.

Okay, I don't know what the hell I was talking about. Dude woke up and checked on the caps he laid out. They all (16 of em) dropped nice dark spore prints!!! He was going to just do 2, but got a 'feeling' he should do more. I don't know what I was remembering about the dark area under the caps, this wasn't so in this case and they dropped wonderfully.

Here is a picture of the tray from this morning. He will print the 20 or so more that are ready after his coffee. This is IMO the best pic yet!

I don't think any more pics will be posted. I can't see anything that could possibly top the last one... I cannot believe how well this flush has done! or this tray for that matter. And from almost year old substrate!

I'm new here and this is right up my alley. I just purchased some "psilocybe tampanensis (origin Florida)" and I was told that they could be grown successfully outdoors. Especially here in Florida. Where can I find the tek for this project. If it works, I'll be sure to post the pix.
