slant and petri endeavour

the only agar i worked with until now were no-pour jars. and i was stressing about sterility and that i pressure cook downstairs and the flowhood is upstairs and how to bring the stuff up there clean, without having to carry the pc all the way up there.
so i tried to make filterbags with oven bags, a neck of a piece of a syringe filled with tight polyfill. in there i put filled petridishes (with agar....) one with a bottle with agar and one with slants in jars (the lids on the slanttubes not fully closed, wich after pcing i could close without having to open the bag first)
but when it was sterilising i read some more on the forum and started stressing about if the oven bags would melt op burst and after 15 min turned off the pc. like 5 minutes after it said 0 psi i removed the weight (thus releasing the last bit of pressure), and opened the pc.
and it turned out the bags didn't melt or burst, the agar in the petridishes or bottle didn't boil over even tough it cooled as fast as when i would prepare grains, and took them out as fast.

i'll try again for a longer period, but i actually expected the agar to boil over, as that is what i always read in respect to fast cooling down.

i did only put a very small layer of agar in the petri dishes, and put those in jars with filters.
the oven bags touched the side of the pc by the way, but didn;t melt.

Oven bags eh? Where do you get those?
Sounds like they might come in handy for my no-flow-hood situation...
If I had my slants in one of those it seems like I could leave the lids cracked and let them cool that way inside the bag instead of in front of a flow hood. Think that would work?

the ones you see in the picture i pc'd today and let cool in the bags, then i twist the lids close just by grabbing it with the oven bag(from outside, only touching the outside of the bag), so you yeah, then you don't have to let them cool in open air, and can take them out with the lids closed.
tody was the first time i tried it so i'm not sure, but theoretically it should work fine, i mean, stay clean.
i got them at a houseware (?) shop, stuff for in the kitchen and such, freezerbags, aluminum foil, etc.

i just bought a bag of the 50 ml tubes you see in the picture, to have a larger opening. and wondered if there would be a reason not to use a larger piece of wood, and a hardwood like beech, in the slant? so it takes the mycelium way longer to digest

and what about not using nutriƫnts in the agar, wouldn't that slow the cell divisions aswell?
