I've been watching a ton of flicks recently. What genre do you most enjoy? I just saw End of Watch and was pleasently surprised

Akira has just got a huge visual scope, and a mind bending story. it's not typically full of action or anything.
you want a mindbending dissasociative tripped out anime, you should check out Perfect Blue.
PS: Princess Mononoke is one of the best animes ever, and Studio Ghibli animes are always a studious account into the art and finesse of making a CLASSIC anime and story.
seriously... http://www.onlineghibli.com/films.php
anyone of these is one of the best animes ever.
Horus: Prince of Sun is old as fuck too.
and fuck, i didn't even know they were involved with Like The Clouds, Like The Wind. (don't watch unless you want to drown in children's fantasy. just a heads up)

It sucks that there will probably never be a series of movies that goes through the entire book series.
