Yes yes, this is another thread asking for movie suggestions....just go with it...
I'm about to do this allylescaline and I need some movies to watch on the come up and/or during the trip, depending on how far down the rabbit hole this stuff puts me.
I'm thinking like maybe sci-fi ish, or perhaps just a completely ridiculous fantasy movie that looks pretty. Then again something with a rich plot would be good as well.
Let's be original though people! I've already seen Space Odyssey 5,000 times

Hmmmm I have to say I've heard nothing but good things about it, the subject matter seems right up my alley. Thing is, anime has never really been my cup o' tea, I just find it really hard to get into.
But what the heck, maybe I'll give it a go.

Foshow foshow. I'll give a rough play by play in this thread perhaps. Then I'll probably write a more complete/coherent report in my ODD thread

I mean.. Enter The Void? Being There is philosophically interesting though not "trippy". I don't know that's all I got. Don't watch a lot of movies.

Looks like a good list Yeah I think I'll start with The Fountain, I was going to watch it a while back but didn't get around to it. Seems like just the thing I'm looking for.

I haven't seen it but the book was good. A Scanner Darkly
Also Blade Runner is pretty good although old..
Paprika (Anime) is REALLY trippy.
Trying to think of some others but I'm having trouble at the moment.

Philip K Dick is the shit I've read the book and I actually just saw the movie yesterday. Twas very good.
Oooo Yeah blade runner could be cool. I tried to watch it on edibles a few months back but I fell asleep like 10 minutes in. It's like the only "sci-fi great" that I have yet to see.

Its amazing when you think about how old the movie is.. It still looks good even after all this time.
You have to watch it.
Philip K Dicks story about colonizing mars was pretty damn good. I really liked it up until a little before and at the end..

Oh definitely, I'm watching it right now and it looks great for 1982.
I just ordered a bunch of his books off amazon and that one was in there. I'm really interested in "The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch" the description makes it sound like a psychedelic version of Inception, seems really interesting.

I took 60 mg about 45 minutes ago. Nothing but a very slight shift in perception so far.

I've never heard of that one. I really need to start reading more..
The Dune series is really good too (the books), the movie and t.v series (movie now) both have mixed reviews but it might be nice to watch as well.

Mmmhmmmm The Dune books always seem to come highly recommended, I haven't gotten around to either the books or films yet though.
I finally got back into the grove of reading a few months back after a decent decline. I love movies and all that jazz but I nearly forgot how rich and rewarding books can be. Just so many damn distraction nowadays, sitting down with a book can take some serious willpower at times.

Definitely a good bit of nausea and gut tightening going on. I feel a bit "tingly". Very very slight CEVs, some vague neon patterns here and there, nothing crazy.

Dune is fucking long (the books).. Its like 7 books maybe more that have 500+ pages of tiny print... I REALLY liked them, but then again I had nothing else to do really. There are other books now that his son wrote, preludes and books about some of the things that were mentioned in the book.
