Last ditch effort for broken cakes

I had 6 1/2 pint jars fully colonized. Had no trouble removing three however three came out with only a 1/3 intact sadly. I collected all the broken pieces and gathered them in a jar and have been soaking since yesterday. Should I just try a mono tub with the odds and ends? I figured i'd leave the 1/3 cakes be and see if they can make anything happen on their own and just put the pieces into a tub. I purchased vermiculite and perlite so will be attempting to put the pieces then cover with a layer of vermiculite and put them in the same fruiting chamber as the cakes. Thoughts?

I'm no expert but that doesn't sound like enough cakes for a mono. Might want to try a minimono. Cakes don't have to be totally intact to fruit, just relatively large chunks (though you'd want to crumble/mince them if they are too small and need to go in a minimono.
Again, not an expert.

You could crumble and case the cakes if you want. You could make a mini tub out of a ziploc tupperware thing and it'll colonize into one big cake. Or you could just stick the bits in the FC with the rest of the cakes. I'm sure they'll still produce.
