It would just make things easier....the mycellium will not stretch out like that, and sectors should be more noticeable....
Low nutrients = Stretchy Mycellium
Harder to sector, though quicker spread.
More Nutrients = Denser Growth
Easier to sector, Slower Growth Rate.

The other two smaller myc on the left and the bottom are from a bunk mexican albino syringe that I knocked up six jars with. Only two grains were germinated out of the six jars but they are showing signs of rhizo growth none the less.... All of these other previous transfers have been from a contaminated koh sumai super strain syringe that I saved by noc'ing up a jar

From the dish pictured above, I cut two transfers from the bottom section at 1:30 and 3 and one from the top right at about 5:30. I did not take anything from the the top left section.

the red ones, and i would also try the blue, if u have enough dish

I took the thickest strands. Two from the top left section at 10 and 11 o clock, two from the bottom at 5 and 6, and one from the top right at 3.

first agar isolate log with PICS (RHIZO MYCELIUM GROWING IN ONE DIRECTION. NOT ROUND) [Re: KingCloyster]

QUESTION ABOUT CUTTING SINGLE STRANDS OF RHIZO MYCELIUM..
I've noticed when I cut a single strand and place it on my agar it usually grows in only one direction and sometimes it goes ariel. Why isn't it spreading 360 degrees?
