What mushie is this?

This is my very first post on this site. I've been reading the forums for time researching mushroom growing Teks and just general information regarding mushrooms. I have come across this mushroom bed that I've never seen before. Could someone tell me what kind of mushrooms these are and if I ate them what would happen.?

It is, as already noted, a Tubaria species, T. furfuracea seems likely. A very common late autumn/early winter species.
Where approximately are you situated, and what are you looking for?
And welcome to the Shroomery.

I wish there was a good Tubaria key somewhere, just calling them T. furfuracea never feels very satisfying.

Ha. Thanks to you, Byrain, I rarely feel comfortable applying a species name to anything

And here I was hoping someone could go, "Hey, check out this great Tubaria key".
Really though, I don't have any reason to doubt T. furfuracea, I'm not really even clear on the concept...
